Why are so many Christians condemning Will Smith?

Whether Will Smith should have defended his wife or not, it was not okay for him to confront Chris Rock with a slap to his face. It was wrong! Yes he's a man who has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God as we all do. So why are so many Christians condemning him? I believe it's because it makes us feel better about our own baggage when we judge the baggage of others. However, when are we going to unpack our own mess? This world has so many perfect - imperfect people and I can only imagine the things I'd find if I simply knocked on my neighbor's door at an ungodly hour or vice versa. We are so caught up in the things people do wrong but what about God? As soon as Will Smith asked for forgiveness, God forgave him. It doesn't matter how long it took him to apologize. Some of us hold grudges like a fist and never apologize but so quick to determine when someone else should do so. We all need to repent, including Chris Rock. He may not have chosen to fight back but just like a school bully he is not innocent either. Insults are NOT jokes, they are insults...period! Some have committed suicide because of insults. Everyone is apologizing to him but when is he going to apologize? There are other Christians saying well, if someone slapped me in my face, I wouldn't turn the other cheek (most humans wouldn't if we are honest with ourselves). We all get angry and many resort to fighting whether it's at home, on the street, on the basketball court, or even in the house of the Lord. It's not right but it happens and we are fast to let it go if it's involving those we love and care about. However, why can't we extend the same grace to public figures? That's not godly! Why do we hold them at such a higher standard as if they are holy beings. We are all sinners running the same race, famous or not. Your role model should be the man who gave His life for all....Jesus! While criticizing others, do you admit your faults to Christ and ask for forgiveness of your own trespasses? Do you forgive those who trespass against you? Will Smith hasn't offended you but so many are stating they will never forgive him and ready to throw the whole man away as if he's worthless. Well, God values him and Chris. Violence is never the answer and security should have escorted him out...agreed. You're right! Condemning is not okay either. Forgiveness is a way to begin again and God gives us a fresh start each time. His grace is sufficient. So before casting the stone...are ye without sin? Absolutely Not! Just because you are not under the watchful eye of the public does not mean you are not under the watchful eye of an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent GOD. So be mindful and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. You are not better than anyone else. The devil is a liar! Get it together believers. Stop condemning and start building up those who need it the most. Jesus loves you and so do I! Be blessed 🙏

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." - Luke 6:37 NIV

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." - Phillippians 2:12 KJV

"Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith." - Romans 3:22-27

"Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." - Matthew 21:21-22 NIV
