It's NICU Awareness Month and I'm reminiscing about visiting my bundle in his pod every day praying to be able to take him home. It would be a four month & one week long stay but it was a blessing to finally hold him freely without all the cords and beeping noises. Now 3 years old, it's amazing watching him continue to thrive! My thoughts and prayers are with families with little ones in the NICU.
This is my son now vs when he was in the neonatal intensive care unit. Watching your baby fight in the NICU is super scary for parents. My heart goes out to you all, especially during the pandemic. Hang in there, be strong and keep the faith!
